We offer various excursions including snorkeling with sea lions, scuba diving for certified divers, and introductory dives for those new to diving. We also provide PADI courses and work with photography groups during whale season.

Introductory Dive

For this activity, we go to shallow, calm areas (no deeper than 7 meters) that are sheltered from the wind. It’s a very personalized experience, done one-on-one with an instructor who manages the equipment. We will be in the water for 15 to 20 minutes, not including the surface time, which varies for each person as they get used to the environment and gain confidence to dive. You only need to bring your underwear or swimsuit, as we provide all necessary equipment for the activity.

The excursion lasts between one and a half to two hours or more, depending on the number of passengers, weather conditions (depending on the wind direction, we may go to closer sites in Pirámides Bay or further away), and the number of activities we undertake (we might do snorkeling and diving in the same trip).

Snorkeling with Sea Lions

We will visit a sea lion colony located 12 km away, which will take us approximately 20 minutes of navigation. The exact time may vary depending on the number of passengers and weather conditions.

Unlike the Punta Pirámides sea lion colony, this is a transitory colony. Therefore, we cannot guarantee the number of sea lions we will encounter or if there will be any at all.

If we find sea lions, we will gear up and dive into the water, where we will spend between 40 minutes to 1 hour. Interaction with the sea lions is not guaranteed, as they are wild animals in their natural habitat, and their behavior will depend on how active they are.

If we do not find sea lions, we will go snorkeling at another site where they are likely to appear to feed.

The excursion lasts approximately 3 hours.

Certified Diver Diving

We go to pre-defined diving spots to carry out the activity. We have a wide variety of overhangs in Pirámides Bay and Pardelas. A guide diver will always accompany you during the descents. Again, you don't need to bring any equipment; we provide everything necessary for the activity.

Nautical tours
(summer season only)

The tour begins in the bay of Puerto Piramides, heading first towards the fossil cave. Subsequently, we approached the pyramid sea lion farm and the small island located a few meters from it, always maintaining a safe distance of 50 meters from the sea lion farm so as not to disturb the sea lions.

We continue the journey towards the Adela Cormoranera, located beyond the Puerto Piramides lake. Once this journey is finished, we conclude with a snorkeling activity, which will be carried out in the caves, the islet or shearwaters, depending on the direction of the wind, always choosing the most sheltered place to guarantee the safety of the participants.

This activity lasts approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, from the boat to disembarkation.

From June to March, our diving operator in Puerto Piramides offers private photography outings.

These excursions allow photographers to capture the majesty of southern right whales and the rich biodiversity of the region, ideal for documentaries and visual projects. With our personalized outings, you will have the opportunity to photograph not only the whales, but also the scenic beauty and fauna of the Valdés Peninsula.
